Why isn’t my tank attacking the nearest infantry?

It’s important to remember that each troop type has its own attack priority.

Here is the attack priority for each troop type:

Infantry: Infantry --> Artillery --> Tanks

Artillery: Tanks --> Artillery --> Infantry

Tanks: Tanks --> Artillery --> Infantry

Based on this priority system, your tank will attack infantry last, only when no other enemy units are left.
